Getting Started
Australian Memoirs is an AI-assisted memoir writing platform that helps Australians capture and preserve their life stories. Whether you’re a veteran, a grandparent, or simply someone with a story worth telling, the platform guides you through the process of turning your memories into a professionally structured, publishable memoir.
Not at all. Australian Memoirs uses a voice-first approach — you speak your stories, and our AI-assisted prompting helps shape them into polished written form. If you can talk about your life, you can create a memoir.
Anyone with a story to tell. We work with individual subscribers, veterans and their families, community groups, museums, RSL sub-branches, aged care providers, and cultural organisations across Australia.
Absolutely. Many of our users work with a son, daughter, or carer who helps facilitate the sessions. The platform is designed to be simple enough for anyone to navigate, and having a loved one involved can make the process even more meaningful.
How It Works
You’ll be guided through a series of conversational prompts designed to draw out your memories naturally. You speak, and the platform captures and structures your words into chapters and narrative. You review and approve everything before it’s finalised — nothing is published without your say-so.
Yes. Completed memoirs can be formatted for print through our companion tool, TimePress, which produces professionally typeset, print-ready books — perfect for sharing with family or donating to a local library or museum.
Yes — always. You retain full ownership and copyright of every word you contribute. Australian Memoirs is a tool to help you tell your story; the story itself remains yours.
Pricing
Individual subscriptions are $59/month or $599/year (save over 15%). For community groups, charities, museums, or veterans’ organisations, we offer bulk packages at $1,500 per participant (minimum 10 participants). No GST applies.
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our secure payment processor, Stripe. All transactions are encrypted and PCI-compliant.
Refunds & Cancellations
Yes, you can cancel at any time through your account settings. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period — we don’t cut you off early. No cancellation fees apply.
If you’re not satisfied within the first 14 days of your subscription, contact us for a full refund — no questions asked. After 14 days, refunds are assessed on a case-by-case basis. We want you to feel confident in your decision to preserve your story.
Your stories are yours. If you cancel, you’ll have 90 days to export or download your content. After that, your data will be securely deleted from our servers in accordance with Australian privacy law. We’ll send you reminders before anything is removed.
Community and bulk packages are handled individually. If circumstances change for your organisation, please get in touch and we’ll work with you to find a fair resolution. We understand that community projects can be subject to funding timelines and grant conditions.
Privacy & Security
Only you — and anyone you explicitly grant access to. Your data is protected by row-level security, meaning no other user on the platform can access your content.
Yes. Australian Memoirs uses cloud infrastructure hosted in the Asia-Pacific region to keep your data close to home, with enterprise-grade encryption at rest and in transit.
